NEA RA FUNDRAISER

This year in order to offset costs to our RA Delegates we are holding a raffle.  The tickets cost only $1.00 a piece, and the prize is a unique metal wall sculpture featuring an elk mountain scene.  Click here for a picture of this artpiece created by IEA member Buck Wright out of Whitepine.  The drawing will be held at the A+ Award Ceremony on Thursday, May 15th.  Contact your local president or the IEA Region 2 office (800-347-4855) to purchase a ticket.

DECODING CYBERSLANG

Your kid won't stop instant messaging, and you want to know what she's up to.  But a glance at her computer reveals mostly acronyms.  Netlingo.com can help you decode even the most cryptic conversations.  This dictionary of online jargon is updated daily.  Knowing the latest lingo can also help you protect your child: "Bullies and sexual predators use this language too," says the site's founder, Erin Jansen.  Make sure your kid never gives out her "ASL" (age/sex/location), or asks a stranger to "MIRL" (meet in real life).
