Following the defeat of iSTARS during the last legislative session, lawmakers encouraged Superintendent Luna to involve all stakeholders, including IEA, to take part in the development of a future alternative compensation plan for teachers. Web Site Matches Donors with School Projects

DonorsChoose.org is a unique web site created by PreK-12 educators for their colleagues. Teachers can write about a classroom project they would like to implement and post information about the project and its cost on the web site. Then anyone interested in directly helping public education can browse the projects or do a search about specific classroom needs, select a project, and choose how to help. DonorsChoose.org began accepting project proposals from Idaho teachers this school year. There are currently 15 Idaho proposals on the site. To learn how you can post a proposal, click on the “Help” button at the top of the web site’s page.
