Director of Business, Accounting, and Finance

This non-profit membership association serving 13,000 members in Idaho, seeks candidates for this senior management position reporting to the Executive Director.  The successful candidate will provide leadership and direction to the Association in matters of financial management and administrative operations.

The specific responsibilities of this position include:

• Leadership and supervision of business office staff performing accounting, membership records, payroll, and employee benefits functions.
• Provide support and advice to the Executive Director, President, Board of Directors and Committees related to policy development and financial decisions.
• Manage properties owned and leased by the Association.
• Prepare regular financial reports and work with external auditors
• Manage employee benefit programs and the administration of the 401k plan.
• Provide support for contract negotiations with staff union.
• Manage cash and investment accounts and relationships with bankers.
• Prepare and maintain the operating and capital budgets as well as reserve accounts.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance plus at least 3 years of experience in accounting and general business practices, proven written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft applications.  Preference will be given to candidates with CPA and/or Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field, and management or team leadership experience.
