2008 NEA RA State Delegate Election PDF Print

The 2008 NEA Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly will be held in Washington D.C. July 1-6, 2008. Idaho Education Association members will elect thirteen state delegates to represent Idaho at the NEA R.A.  In addition, the IEA President is an ex-officio delegate with voting privileges and the IEA Vice President and NEA Resolutions Committee member are automatically delegates by virtue of their elected offices. 

State delegate zones were finalized by the Board of Directors at its February meeting using membership counts as of January 15, 2008.  Here is the list of delegate zones as well as links to candidate information.

The NEA RA state delegate ballots will be mailed to local presidents on March 5th and elections will run March 17 –April 10, 2008. The suggested election date for state RA delegates is March 21, 2008 and results will be announced at Delegate Assembly on April 12, 2008.
